Yes, the spline shaft is supposed to rotate as you turn a single wheel with the other wheel stationary.
The way a simple differential works if the motor is locked the spider gears simply rotate around the gear and turn the other wheel on the opposite direction. This is the inside of the double reduction Graziano rear end: The shaft the motor connects to is part #17 You may have a seized bearing #16 or a broken gear, the only way to find out is to open the differential. You should not run the motor un-attached from the differential since there will be nothing to support the armature and it can easily damage the motor. |

I ran the motor just enuf to see it spin slowly so hopefully didnt do any damage. |
