19 spline amd motor on club car precedent?
Hello all. I have a predicament. I just recently purchased a CC precedent, 2016 I believe, and I'm looking for more torque/power. Not really for speed, just more of being able to climb hills in our favorite campground. (South, Ms) The problem is I have an AMD 15hp motor for an ezgo project I abandoned years ago. Would someone know if I could possibly get a different coupling and or input shaft to make this work on my cart? I'd hate for this thing to go to waste. My cart is lifted with 22" tires and the back seat. TIA!

I have never heard of an adapter but if you call the motor manufacture, he may have some ideas if no one else does....

Re: 19 spline amd motor on club car precedent?
Looking at doing something similar only club car motor to ezgo input shaft.
From what I have gathered every motor has a generic output shaft and then a specific coupler is installed on the motor output shaft. It would stand to reason that the coupler could be removed and the correct one installed. Do the motors mount the same to the diff housing?! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

Search the site as a few people have done it, you can weld a nut on the end of the motor coupler and use a long bolt that bottoms against the armature shaft as an extractor.
You can buy replacement couplers with different spline counts. |

I think I might be sol. I'm using an admiral motor and its doesn't look like it has an adapter on the output shaft. Looking online it seems like the only motor adapters available state they fit GE motors. Another issue with the admiral motors is the housing mating surface. The ezgos mount with 4 bolts and a flat face. The club cars mount with 3 bolts and a flanged face. I'd really hate to replace this motor but itll be the cheaper alternative. I'm working on a really cool project! I haven't saw this done before. [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
