Did my neighbor fry his motor or controller?
My neighbor's 48 volt TXT batteries went dead, so he towed it home but forgot to flip the run/tow switch. It was smoking from underneath, with a strong burning smell. Did he fry the motor, controller, or both?

Re: Did my neighbor fry his motor or controller?
Yes. Motor, controller, or both
Smoke from underneath indicates the motor is smoked. The stock controller has no reverse polarity protection. This is an expensive lesson - P.S. If you are looking at buying this it is a great cart |
