Default Where to buy decent tires

I eat tires like crazy and my Jakes Long Travel front end is a bitch to keep the camber adjusted or I guess get it right the first time... that is another thread.

I have 23" tires and need a new set but the **** that is available for golf carts leaves much to be desired. I live in south Phoenix, Arizona and drive my cart everyday of the year in a retirement community where golf carts dominate the streets.

Does anybody have any advice on where to purchase good tires that are round and made well? At this point I am not that concerned with what kind of tread yet but I have had aggressive offroad/MT type of tires but any will do me fine at this point. I just hate the harsh ride of tires that seem almost square. Ok... maybe not that bad but there is a lot of vibration and when I lean out to look at tires they all have movement and not a smooth rotation.

Any ideas/tips on where to purchase?

Golfcarttiresupply.com is a sponsor and has great pricing and fast shipping. That said, it sounds like your issue may be as much related to the lift and the tread you have been using. I'm not sure there is a great compromise for desert off road and comfortable street cruising but if there is these guys can tell you.

I was also gonna say golf cart tire supply. Have had nothing but good experiences with them. Now they’re a sponsor too!

Tony....what size are your wheels?? one thing you could do if they are 14's....instead of golf cart tires....get some actual automotive tires of the correct size. They will be a bit heavier, but will last a LOT longer.

If you are driving the streets, there are tires that are DOT approved for street use. These may be better made than cheap Chinese rubber. Got mine from Golf cart Tire Supply.

Well I popped in here to check on replies because I was surprised there was no replies yet and I see all of this. Not sure why my E-mail notifications are not working but oh well, all is set correctly.

I will check what size wheels I have when I get home today, tires are getting pretty bald pretty fast

Mine are 12. If there is major difference in the quality of tire just because of a different wheel size I guess I would consider a change

I would op for a 6 ply tire vs 4 ply that most carts run .

Those off road tires will never ride and wear like a street tire.
