Default Plug Identification, from motor...

I recently picked up a 2008 EZGO 36v with upgraded controller...a few questions and a comment...

1) How do I identify the upgraded controller installed?
2) Should this plug from the motor be plugged in some where, if not why and what is it?

Thanks for any and all help, first cart and looking to learn from the wise among us.

Jason

What you have is a ALLTRAX DCX controller.....now what size, that I can't answer without getting a better look at it....but if you measure how long it is.....there were two different sizes and that will narrow it down. The one that was 6.5" long was either a 300a or a 400a controller. if it is 8.5" long, it is either a 500a or 600a controller.

you say that this plug comes from the motor....EXACTLY where is it connected to the motor? a picture would be nice and if the connections to the motor has a label on it, that would help positively identify what we are looking at.

The DCX didn't use the tach sensor, and that plug is the tach sensor. So, that's why it's left unused.

Thanks guys, dealer told me it is a 400a but I’ll measure for the fun of it.
