98 DS Running Problem
Hi to all, I am new to this forum and am hopping for some answers.
Serial No. A9824-666492 Issue I am having.... When I try drive the cart, the cart moves slowly and the it’s as if the controller quits. I loose all power until I lift my foot and try again with the same results. I have 49.5v across batteries, inputs and outputs seem to be in order. Applying 24v to motor disconnected runs motor fine. Connections are good and clean. When I check voltage across terminals A1 and A2 on the motor I only see up to under 10v before it quits, when I disconnect A1 and A2 and check voltage on the wires I can get up to 48v. Obviously this is an unloaded test. My thoughts are leading to the controller but just wanted to make sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: 98 DS Running Problem
What throttle system do you have? Did this just happen, or did you buy the cart not running?

Re: 98 DS Running Problem
It has the multi step potentiometer. Possibly called v-glide? (Wiper switch)
I back probed the yellow wire after the throttle. Had 3.75v which slowely went down to 0v as I slowly depressed the throttle until wide open. All inputs were correct. Cart sat for a while then went to use it and had this problem. |

Re: 98 DS Running Problem
Just wondering if you've checked your batteries? Both sitting and under load? 49.5V is 70% SOC but you could have a bad battery that is dropping out when under load. If a battery drops out and the pack voltage goes to0 low as a result, your controller may not have enough power, which could be causing your problem. Check out this post:
