Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
I've got a 2016 Precedent with XCT500, HD Solenoid. I installed the Alltrax a month or so back and have been running the factory battery cables up until tonight and everything was working perfectly. I installed the new 2 gauge cables that I got from Revolution and made sure I followed every step and reassembled everything as it was before.
After the install, I have no reverse and the cart only goes about 8 mph instead of the 30mph+ it was doing prior to the cable install. The light on the Alltrax is green. Solenoid clicks in reverse but the cart doesn't move at all. The reverse buzzer comes on, 52v on the battery pack. Any suggestions? Not sure what to check at this point. |

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
I’ve found there there’s no continuity in the 2amp fuse in the yellow connector near the controller. Would that lead to these issues?

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
Talked to Dave and eliminated the motor as an issue. Getting an field open alarm so Alltrax wants me to test the solenoid. I’ll report back next week when I have time to test it.

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
Swapped out the F&R switch with one from another cart I have here and it wasn’t that so still think it’s a bad solenoid or controller. The controller blinks 5x when power is turned on then the light goes solid green.

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
I’ve tested the HD solenoid today based on directions from Alltrax and I think it checks out as good. With everything disconnected from it, there is no continuity across the big terminals and there is continuity across the small terminals.
All of the fuses on the harness look good. At this point I’m thinking it’s the controller. Any other input or things to test are welcome. |

At least the controller is still under warranty. Get a RMA from Alltrax.

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
Talked to Will at Alltrax yesterday who said that if you have a "field open alarm" in one direction only, the controller is bad. The gave an RA # so I boxed it up and sent it back them.

Re: Issue after 2 Gauge Wire Install
Just to close this out, got the new Controller from Alltrax last night and installed it this morning and everything is working great again. Guess it was just coincidence with the timing of the wire install.
