Default Ring Terminal For FSIP Motor

My new FSIP motor requires all 4 connectors to be 5/16th. This means I need to change the ring connectors on the orange and blue wires to the 5/16th size.

Please tell me what brand or which one of the connectors you would use. There are so many on the market and I want to be sure I buy the right ones.

The orange and blue wires are 10 gauge?

As always, thank you for your help.

I don’t have a brand but most any auto parts store will have them. A handful in a clear plastic pack for around $5. Get the yellow ones.

That's what I bought but when I got ready to attach them they seem a lighter weight that what is on the old wire. They are nylon, not vinyl. Also, the old rings look to be tin plated copper and have a much longer crimped insulation. This made me wonder if I should be using a coated copper ring since it will be attached to the motor bolt.

I found a 12-10 gauge Nylon, double crimp, tin over copper ring. Max temp rating of 221 degrees F. Max voltage rating is 600 volts. Is this appropriate or overkill?? :)

No such thing as overkill... and nylon is always better than vinyl.[emoji106][emoji106]
