Default I want some more torque!

Hey guys, I finally got my 1992 Marathon running and stopping lol. But I live in a neighborhood with a good bit of hills, so I need some more torque. It’s completely stock, what would be the quickest way to add some immediate power/torque? And what would be the best way to add some more power/torque?

Upgrade to 48V. That will up both torque and speed by 33%

Yeah I’ve thought about that. But the batteries that are in it are about 8 months old... not quite ready for them to be replaced lol

Add two more same make/model 6V batteries in bag well and get more range as well as more torque and speed.

Would I have to upgrade the motor and add an upgraded controller? Or will my stock motor be able to handle it?

I just did this and added a new controller and Sol. Thing is jumping up on two wheels with so much torque. The controller is only set to 12.5%

Did you replace the motor? Or just add 2 batteries, a controller and solenoid?

Stock motor will love it, they run cooler on 48V. It takes fewer amps at 48V to do the same amount of work than it does at 36V.

You'll need to replace controller, solenoid and battery charger.
