Shopping for a used cart for possible conv. to LSV (thinking RXV) any advice?
I'm looking for a used cart, will primarily be using it around the neighborhood (Florida, all flat and under 35mph roads). I think I have it narrowed down to an EZ-GO RXV, but I'm not sure.
Would this be a good choice? I've heard advantages with the A/C motor, and being able to unlock additional speed (computer flash) is easier than a TXT (requires aftermarket parts). Looking to spend less than $5k. Any advice is appreciated. What are the differences among model years, which should I look for? |

RXV would be a good choice.
You will need a 2012+ RXV with a Curtis controller. The controller revision level needs to be under 7.0. A 7.0 revision will only get you top speed of 24mph and that's with 20.5" tires. With stock tires your looking at about 20mph. With a revision level less then 7.0 you can get speeds up to 30mph. You will need the controller reprogrammed and 20.5" tires and no taller then that. |

Do all the 2012+ RXV have a Curtis controller? How can I check the version? Is it something a dealer/owner should be able to check for me prior to taking a trip? |
