These type of situations make we wonder why Alltrax doesn’t sell a universal controller.. Sell me one with a 24 pin molex connector with all the wires. Rip out the crap you don’t need and use the wires you need. Not for the faint of heart but will work.

As you know, unless obvious, looks are deceiving in electronics. Its pretty much what the meter or test equipment says. I have seen some be black with soot and age, but test good. And almost every time, look visually good but test bad. Lol

Could not pay me to mess with controllers. I leave that to Biphase (or maybe Sergio)....

wish there was a way to test my controller with my multimeter.

does anyone have a pin diagram for the Z plug?

i have 2 solenoids. what voltage readings should i be getting at the solenoid that has the yellow wire going to the controller???

this one never seems to click.

You should be getting pack voltage (4 between the 2 small terminals on the solenoid. If your getting that voltage and it's not clicking, then you have a bad solenoid.

thanks for the info mcgray70.

i removed both solenoids. the one that was not clicking,(closest to the passenger side), will not click when 30 volts applied. also no continuity between secondary (large posts).

the solenoid that did click when key on rocker switch in f or R, pedal pushed, i got it to click bench testing putting 30v to the primary's(small terminals) but still dd not get continuity. do these solenoids require 48 volts to activate?

I'm not sure what the minimum voltage is on the coil to activate it. Do you not have at least 48 volts on the battery pack to test your solenoid while in the cart? If you don't then that could be part of problem. That controller will need more than 30 volts to even try to move.

This is the wiring diagram for the regen 1. The solenoid with the resistor coil can be bypassed by taking putting both large cables on the same post, and then you will need to disconnect the speed sensor. The eliminates the dynamic braking (regen). That eliminates that solenoid! The other solenoid needs to function correctly.
