Default Amber warning light???

Hi

I have a 2010 CC Precedent 48V. 6-8

Question on my dash is a small amber gauge with an outline of a battery on it.

So far it has never came on and l'm sure it is related to battery condition
but l have no idea how it works!

If it does light up what does that mean?

Thanks

Alan

I'm sure others will chime in, but in my experience with several CC DS Series carts the only time I've ever seen it come on is when there was a problem with the OBC ( I usually only have 2000+ thru 2004 of the above mentioned models). Replacing the OBC has corrected the blinking Amber warning light everytime.

FYI - when you first plug in your charger the light does come on for a few seconds then goes off. I believe that is normal.

I also concur that the warning light comes on when batteries are low. I am nursing along a 6 year old set of trojans so I have been seeing the light some lately.

Just a warning on the warning light. Don't run your cart completely dead waiting on the warning light to come on, they can and do go bad. I had a bad one in a 2009 precedent.

Now that you've mentioned it, I 've never seen mine come on. I feel as though there has been occasions when it probably should have lit up, especially at the campground with 5 teenagers riding it until it until it almost quits.
I might have a bad one too.

I also have Scotty B's digital meter on my batteries and I rely on that to tell me their status. Very accurate and reliable.

Highly recommend that as opposed to the warning light for battery status.

I also have scottb's DVM, excellent choice for a cart accessory.

Did you noticed at what voltage your light come on?
