I'm building a hunting buggy to use on our hunting property. Hilly terrain 82 acres. Why do you recommend a 7 cell system? It would save me some bucks definitely. I might be hitting you up for a list of some of the hardware you used. I woiuld like to have a clean install like you have there. |

I'll do whatever I can to help. If you get serious and move forward msg. Pingeye3. He's an ol' school bubblehead and is beyond helpful. I'm marking up a set of end plates to trim and hope to start building my second set tonight. I'll try and document better now that I have one under my belt. I will put up the link here when I start the thread. Keep watching and ask for explanations if you see something that doesn't make sense or I skip a step you need. I'm new to the game but there's a lot of knowledge and helpful people on this forum! BravoZulu BGW! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

I use my cart hunting primarily on 100 acres. Because I drive to a spot and sit for several hours, the 7 module pack works very well for those circumstances.

This thread is going into my Favorites, along with a few other Lithium threads. Like others said, thanks for taking the time to post all the photos and information. I may just get the nerve to try it myself!
Now following your new Thread. |

Re: 05 CC Precedent 14 cell Leaf Lithium conversion.
It's been a while since I've updated this post. Yesterday I went and did some endurance testing. I started with a fully charged pack 58.3 and finished testing at 52v as this is the minimum voltage the pack will be operated at. I am running 20" tires on mostly flat paved ground and stock motor. I did squeeze in 9 rounds starting around 7 miles other than that the speeds were between 15 and 22 mph, initially stopping to check the voltage every 5 miles until 30 miles then every mile after that.
At the end of the day we saw 37 miles out of the pack when we hit my soft limit of 52v (3.71v per cell). The Min Cell Voltage (LV Disconnect) is set for 3.42 which was fine and plenty of room below the 52/3.71v to avoid inadvertent shutdowns. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

Re: 05 CC Precedent 14 cell Leaf Lithium conversion.
Good to hear
You could probably get closer to 45 miles taking the pack down to 3.25 volts/ cell but I understand keep the longevity of the pack in mind. Really though; what's 45 miles when you're already getting 37??? Thanks for the update. |
