no .. its really a differential mounted disc brake
you can barely see it in the last photo

That is just so cool.

The way the motor mounts on the transaxle was ahead of its time - most other cart manufacturers didn't do it that way until well after 72. The brake is neat too, wonder how well it works...

works great !! tried it out on the tow home ... set the parking brake and cart wont roll
