Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
4.22 on one and 6.25 on the other 5.
May just get a used one would be best in this case? Not sure how to test other than a multimeter set on 6v. Is this it? Is there a spot that the bad one should be in or just anywhere for now? With this info could the one battery being bad be my whole problem? |

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
Tha5150, Back in post #3 you said after a week of sitting you had to charge one battery separately to get the pack to take a full charge. Are you only charging the batteries once a week? or is the cart on charger the whole time?

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
Sometimes several weeks not on charge. Plus I don't trust my charger. Shuts off but never reads fully charged.

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
Bad battery can easily cause the "never shows full" thing.

Where do I look for used batteries? Craigslist?

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
Try golf cart shops and/or battery shops.... As when I bought new batteries for mine I told the battery shop which ones were bad and which ones were still serviceable. He said that they often keep a few "good" used batteries on hand to help out those who can't afford new batteries... Also try Google near me for used batteries...

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
You can try a used battery to replace the one reading 4.22 volts and see what happens. However reading through your posts I suspect the batteries have not been properly maintained and you can figure on the cost of replacing all six.

Re: Sell or keep and get new batteries?
They sell "good used batteries"? A good used is hard to find (for sale). Most any "good used" that are still suitable for golf use i have go toward keeping a "fleet" of 'for sale' carts going long enough to sell 'em with a new pack when they are sold. The next best ones? The "off-grid" solar guys get (they dont have any high amp requirements, just steady flow for low cost). The "cores" the distributors get back are just that, junkers. Dont even try to get a golf cart 12v (T-1275 and similar) used, they were under-powered from the beginning.
