Which voltage reducer
I was originally just going to buy a seperate 12v battery for my accessories but i think i have been talked into just getting a voltage reducer.
I like the idea of the 12v battery (with wing nut screw post) for simplicity sakes though. If i do go the voltage reducer route what is a good one to get? I have a 48v 2010 EzGo TXT. Currently the only accessories i need to run is a horn, fog lights on my brush bar and possibly a radio in the future. |

Re: Which voltage reducer
I'm in the exact same position, was convinced to do the reducer instead of extra 12v. I was told to do at least 20a, bc a radio will use 10a alone. Outside of that I'm not sure what to buy

Re: Which voltage reducer
I have burnt up the so called 20a reducers with nothing more than lights and radio... That is why we only sell the 30 amp rated model.

Re: Which voltage reducer
Idiot proof? No idiots can confound the smartest of us.
It comes with these simple instructions below. The on/off switch in the diagram is your (+) keyswitch. In the case of a (-) keyswitch, use a separate toggle switch connected to the battery main (+). |

Re: Which voltage reducer
No such thing as "Idiot Proof".
Best we can do is "Idiot Resistant". Note to RXV folks : Dont wire to keyswitch... |

Re: Which voltage reducer
Every time a solution is deemed to be idiot proof, they just build "better" idiots.
