Thumbs up Re: Jerking MCOR Fix

I drilled the hole and used both carb cleaner and then electronic cleaner. Can confirm it works. We'll see how long the fix lasts but I'm hopeful it will for a while and if not, pretty easy to repeat. Thanks for the post.

will this same procedure apply to an MOR3 and an MOR4? Hole position the same?

What about longevity, need to repeat after some time ?

inside pics of mcor here buggiesgonewild.com/electric-club-car/inside-mcor-01-04-ds
i have mcor 1, when i had a jerking problem i removed the mcor to bench test it
bench test proved to be good, all my problems were resistance in the plugs that were dirt packed
cleaned and reinstalled, with both plugs packed with dielectric grease, it has worked fine for the past 3 years

if i were going to drill a hole i'd drill on either end of the mcor

Similar question that has me puzzled......We have a 2011 Club Car Precedent I2 Excel with acceleration issues. When driving it, it loses speed as you are driving. It kind of stutters some. We have isolated the problem to the accelerator peddle. When you press down as hard as you can, it doesn’t do it. If you simply push the peddle all the way down normally, it does it. It runs really well when pressed down firmly.

Why would it correct the problem by pressing down hard on the peddle? Is it possible that there is a physical issue with the peddle rather than electric? It is just strange to me that when I mash down really hard it works fine.

I think free play in the pedal assembly is responsible for a lot of MCOR failures, specially the "re-occurring" ones, see this post for more info:

Sergio sent me to this link and I just wanted to post that this worked very well for me. Thank you cheapjeep2 for posting this how-to. My cart was jerking VIOLENTLY all over the place. Now it rides smooth as silk. Thanks again.
