04 Ezgo TXT PDS 36volt 5mph
Hey all,
Just got a cart, bought brand new batteries, changed the controller, speed sensor and magnet. Waiting for a throttle sensor to come in but got a feeling this isn't the problem. I want to be proactive when/if the throttle sensor wont fix my issues but the cart will not go faster than 5mph on GPS. With a fresh charge i feel the car burst to what feels pretty quick speed then instantly hits a wall(10 ft or so) and 5mph. It will run at 5mph nothing more even if i try to stop and accelerate again. Its a PDS cart as well. Any info is appreciated. Batteries fully charged, 37-38v there before i jump in and test. |

Put controller in diagnostic mode and listen for the beep code.
Text at bottom of attached label tells you how to get into diagnostic mode. |

Also, you can download the Service, Parts and Owner manuals here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html
They are the three PDF file near the top of page. |

Re: 04 Ezgo TXT PDS 36volt 5mph
Not one code, i disconnected the throttle sensor to make sure the code and beeps worked and sure enough it threw a malfunction code, put it back and no codes.
Waiting for the new sensor to come tho i don't expect that issue then need to focus on the motor. Thanks |

turn the cart on and try to push it with the cart in run, the Cart should start beeping, If it doesnt beep then that will be your problem, Speed sensor!

Re: 04 Ezgo TXT PDS 36volt 5mph
Verify you have FULL battery pack voltage on J1 Pins 4 & 5.
Specifically, if the battery pack voltage between the main negative terminal and main positive terminal is 38.2V, you ought to have 38.2V both of those pins. |

Re: 04 Ezgo TXT PDS 36volt 5mph
Hey guys,
Thanks for all the suggestions. It actually ended up being the magnet for the speed sensor not tight enough. Though it was new, I guess the installer screwed it up She runs 13mph now, so I am happy. I was looking at those ebay freedom chips, are they worth it? claims 19mph? Thanks |

yes - cheapest upgrade EVER. it is a simple rpm limit device. No power increase just rpm limit raised.
