Looking for aftermarket shocks for front, stock height
Hello all,
I have done the searching and have only came up with two possible options, buy stock replacement or lower it and put air shocks on the front of my cart. Here's the details 2013 ezgo txt Stock height 12" rims and 205/40 tires Back seat Stock suspension front and back 98% driven on paved roads Fastest speed recorded by phone app is 24mph It rides really rough in the front and seems to bounce over bumps and has the possibility of darting left or right. I've adjusted and regreased the rack and pinion, wheel bearings and spindles, ball joints and toe adjustments, checked all spring mounts and made sure the shock mounts were tightened properly. I would like to lower the front but not enough room for air shocks unless I make up new lower shock mounts since the sit right above the rack and pinion. I would like to use an aftermarket shock if someone makes them, have gone through the Monroe catalog and have 5 likely candidates but 4 of them are gas shocks and I'm worried that they might be too stiff out of the box for such a light front end. Anyone use anything aftermarket or am I doomed to the stock replacements? Any Bilstein, King, QA1 or Aldan shocks out there? |
