Re: Body Work - Holiday Project
I guess I'm going to ask a stupid question. How would you fill it if it doesn't have a fill plug? Please don't tell me they expect you to turn it upside down and fill through the cover. If that's the case, I will be drilling and tapping a fill plug.

I use something like this that I picked up at a local auto parts store:
http://www.amazon.com/Custom-Accessories-36670-Pennzoil-Transfer/dp/B001DKQZ9Q/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1451077899&sr=8-6&keywords=oil+pump+bottle
I just lift the rear end of the cart off the ground high enough to get under it and fill the differential until oil starts overflowing out of the fill plug hole. |

Re: Body Work - Holiday Project
Made some more progress with the Batman build today. Installed the new 10" wheels and turf tires. Wired up Scotty B's 4g cables as well as DVM on the dash and then went to work installing the body after paint dried for a full week. The paint work turned out okay for a rattle can, first time working with pin stripe tape. Was not to bad, pretty happy with the results. Very pleased with the blank plate the Ohrickster did for me.
Half windshield and front bumper, back seat, reupholster existing seats to black and DPI charger next steps. Budget will dictate timing. Alltrax controller will be last step unless the stock controlled dies. |

Re: Body Work - Holiday Project
Cool build!! Don't believe there will be a fill plug other than the one in the bottom of the pan on that Dana rear end. If you are going to remove the motor and fix the leak...which you definitely should do...I would just fill the rear end through the hole where the input goes. That's the way I've done it on mine. Works great. I also add a thin layer of silicone to the O rings on the input for some added insurance. It's a typical leak point for these carts.
