Are tinned copper cables better or worse than straight copper? I have access to a lot of marine grade cable at a great price but want to know if it works for golf carts.
Thanks

Like a few people said already, upgrading your cable size does not hurt. Some people swear by using 2ga for some reason, but I feel like 4ga is just fine. Just remember although it allows easier current flow, it will not create a significant or noticeable performance upgrade for your cart.

Jut got the cable ends, going to start building as soon as the heat shrink arrives,
Looking through my box of wire I found I have 4 diff colors of wires all 4 AWG,
total about 80 plus feet total.
I think I may have enough to finish lol.
Ill do all the ones between the Bats one color and use the other for the legs to the motor and controller, easy way to tell if I need to do something later.

You can build the cables while you wait ont he heat shrink. It will slide over the lugs.

I need to measure how long the cables need to be and the cart is at my camper.
no hurry, I got the flux propane torch silver solder ready to go. Hope the heat shrink
will be here for the weekend when I go up.
