Default Battery post melted

Has anyone came across a battery post melting. I took my cart out tgis weekend and drove it all weekend. I loaded it on the truck, when I got home I had not power. Iwent to look at my connections and found one post melted. What causes this?

My post did that because the nut was loose or one of the electrical connectors was loose and I think this caused an arc. I saw some YouTube videos on fixes but haven't tried any.

Usually caused by a loose connection or bad cable. If there is enough lead post there you can put a stud in it. 2 inch long 5/16 furniture bolt. Has a threaded 1 inch long end and the other is a lag bolt.

Melted battery post=bad connection. Check and clean the rest of them....
You can repair the damaged post as mentioned above.
Check the cables and connectors while you are at it...

You can find the correct post torque value here:

Also note what happens when they are OVER torqued.

Immediately after a long drive I lift the seat and quickly touch all the battery connections. If one is warmer than the others there is a potential problem. I then check that connection. It's quick, easy and prevents future problems.
