One Wheel Toes Out More than Other
I'm lifting my 2006 Club Car DS cart and had to replace the tie rods. I marked them to keep same distance, but with the new lift, one wheel toes out out while the other is straight.
I already have cotter pins in, but do I need to pull off one tie road and adjust. What is the best way to get this right where both wheels are point forward as expected. Is the rack and pinion adjustment just for straightening up the wheel? |

Re: One Wheel Toes Out More than Other
So I got a little smarter and realized i could unthread them both from the rod and then tighten them all the way down to ensure they are even. Still at it....

Re: One Wheel Toes Out More than Other
Use a tape measure and measure across the front from the outer edge of one tire to the outer edge of the other tire - This should be in the middle of the tire. Now move to the back of the tires (180 degrees) and take the same measurement across the back. You want to have 1/8" to 1/4" toe-in on the front. So the front should measure 1/8" to 1/4" less then the measurement on the back for proper toe alignment.
