First you need to buy the clutch tuning spring and micro switch jumper wire from from CARTSPARTSPLUS. In there picture, the spring is green, that is an old picture, and the spring you will receive will be all black and the first two coils will be painted red. *****YOU DONT NEED TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE CLUTCH TO DO THIS, ONLY THE (6) 10mm BOLTS FROM THE FACE OF THE CLUTCH**** C1C09424-0D07-44D3-829C-D7F6EF936668.jpg ACDB4F73-20E9-4334-88F1-018405739CDA.jpg BE7520EC-BF1D-48D9-A22A-6A1A469E3BA8.jpg 17B4AAF5-BCE0-4969-82E8-78F3AD4F3EF6.jpg |

Thanks CPS!
Just so I understand this, the gas pedal switch will start the engine initially but will not kill the engine when the pedal is released. The engine will only be killed buy using the key switch. Is that about the jest of it? |

With this “key start mod”, you will turn the ignition key to the first ON position and this starts the buggy, then to kill the engine, just simply turn the key to the OFF position. The gas pedal no longer deals with starting or stopping the engine. With this mod, the buggy will start, stop, and idle just like a car. |

Yes that cleared it right up, thank you.
My wife has always asked if the keyswitch start/stop was possible. I wanted to make sure I understood before telling her I could do it. |

Bone stock 350 Robin. I do have to ask what kind of RPM are you pulling to get 28-29mph out of yours?

Funny you asked!
On my drive the other day, I never looked down at the tach at top speed. I was busy keeping my eyes forward! My top speed was recorded to my iPhone, so I viewed it when I got back home. I’m going to have to go make another road trip and find out! |

Re: Equus 6068 (black) & 8068 (white) Tachometer Install
At 22mph I'm turning 4300rpm, but I'm guessing that I have 13:1 gears with 22" tires. I backed my gov back to 3800rpm just to keep the engine safe.
