Default How to test shunt motor

I am working on a 98' g19 with a shunt wound motor. Can I test it the same way that sepex motors are tested, jumping F1/A1 and F2/A2 then connecting those to a single 8v battery?

The posts are labeled differently than the sepex motor I tested awhile back so wasn't sure.

Yes. Sepex and Shunt are same thing.

do I criss cross them and do F1-A1 F2-A2 or go F1-A2 F2-A1?

Makes no difference. Works either way. Motor will just turn the other direction.
