Default EZGO Tuning Spring

I Got Tuning Spring In My 98 EZGO and it works But after I drive arownd the Clutch Will stay engaged And wont release the belt so every thing spins. When its at idle Its not fully engaged like when im driving but just enuff to spin the belt and makes it hard to shift to Drive .

It is at 13volts? I think thats right?

I can turn the cart off and on and the clutch will release But as soon as I move the clutch wont disengage? What Can I Do to Fix it?

Sounds like your idle is to fast, try slowing the idle down on it a touch.

curious to see what you figure out as I got the tuning spring setting on my desk waiting to go in when I pull the clutch out for my upcoming engine swap.

is the clutch risers/ramps worn out causing the clutch to bind?

Not sure what that is but if its were the belt rides it is smooth and shiny.

Mine doesn't want to turn loose either unless I come to a complete stop with the brake fully applied. I set idle at 800 cold which would show about 11 volts at battery. Then when mine warms up, it idles about 960 which shows 13.5-14 volts. I tried it at 1000 rpms cold and by the time it warmed up, it was idling around 1200 rpm and the clutch wouldn't turn loose. Hope this helps.
