Default Red Pigtail

Can someone refresh my memory as to what the red pigtail on battery #1 pos post is used for? This is a (4) 12v setup.

No, this pigtail. I think it was used as a feed for the factory battery meter.

Thats a good question. I have an unused blue pigtail hanging from the positive on my 6-8volt system. Thought I might tap on to that for Scottyb's digital meter.

Not sure if all Precedents have the provision but there is a 48v feed behind the dash for the factory one... You can tap into that..

If that is so, that would be a good place to tap in for scottb's digital meter.

That is funny, I have that and did not know what is was either, especially having cart torn apart last two weeksand then go back to put it together, just left it unhooked and all is well so I guess it does nothing.
