Well I got everything wired today, batteries have full charge, turn key on, switch to forward, press gas, the solenoid clicks, but cart doesn't move. Same thing in reverse. I checked voltage between M-&B-, when solenoid clicks I get same voltage as batteries, 38.6v, when I press gas down further, no change, stays at 38.6v. Been over everything, will check all again closer tomorrow, any help is appreciated.
Here is a link to my wiring diagram

Ok, if anyone is reading, I tested solenoid, it is good. I jumped M-&B-, and it spins motor when I press down gas.

I have only read your last post but generally speaking, Check your throttle signal is correct and compatible with the controller... check the controller is powered up.

I've measured throttle signal at the wires to controller. It is 0-5k when pedal is pressed.

Hi Justin,

I have a Noland 2-passender utility cart and wondering if you identified the brakes on your restored cart? Mine are marked Bendix but the part number on the drum does not come up on the searches I've done. I need drums and shoes.

Just installed a Harbor Freight GX420. It was basically a drop-in replacement except for the throttle cable--still working on that. Wow, does it move!

The brakes are Bendix torq spider, I was able to order a rebuild kit and it's like new again.

I'm almost done with this cart, there are a few more things I want to do, but that will come later, thought I'd share a few pics.

Now that I'm done with the Noland for now, I just picked up another one almost just like it, but this one is an ezgo, will need some TLC, but I think it will be fun. It didn't run, but I found a broken microswitch on the FNR selector, was able to bypass it and seems to work fine, or at least it moved forward and back a couple feet, could not drive it due to rotten back tire that's off the rim, so got a few parts ordered for it, and on the hunt for decent tires and I'll be ready to start all over with this one.
