Re: 2010 club car
Let it always charge until it turns off on its own. The Run/Tow switch should always be in Run except when you are going to work on any part of the electrical system, including disconnecting the batteries, and anytime you have to Tow it or need it to roll freely. If you Tow it while in the Run position, you can damage your motor.

Re: 2010 club car
If it was parked without the charger plugged in I am surprised it turned on. It will time out after 16 hours on charge and you will have to unplug it from the cart and then wait a minute and plug it back in. You need to get the batteries back to fully charged (50.93 volts which is read ~12 hours after the charge had completed)

Re: 2010 club car
The only time You need to charge in the Tow position is if you are not going to use the cart for a couple of months, that reduces the drain on the batteries as the Controller and OBC go to sleep.
The OBC still wakes up every 15 days to start a new charging cycle when the cart is in Tow and the charger is left plugged to the cart and the AC outlet. |
