Default Accessorie power.

I was considering adding led accent lighting and USB power port's. On my 2011 president. Instead of a heavy deep cycle battery I thought about using Black and Decker 20v LI batteries, hook them to a step down reducer. I have several of these on hand for all my cordless tools.
Would this work, or is it a bad idea?

Not sure about the LED voltage band, but most chargers (USB and Lighter) are 12-24v capable. If your lights are, you do not need a reducer. You need a good size (amp-Hour) battery. All mine are Milwaukee 18v Fuels and run from 1.5AH to 9.0AH.

If You need to get a converter just get a 48v->12v one, the amount of energy You get out one of those batteries before is dead would not even be noticeable on a 48v pack.

I didn't realize that about the USB chargers. I looked around a little at LEDs. Looks like they're mostly either 12 or 24 volts. I think most of my B&D batteries are 1.5ah

I added a 48 > 12 converter for head and tail lights last year. Just looking for ways to add some bling without drawing on the 48v pack.
