I can testify that the service from the guys at Alltrax has always been great. They can even walk you through recording the controller actions while running, than based on that data the root cause can be determine, and yes an incorrect field map will give you all kind of heartaches.

Ok, so you guys have given me enough encouragement to make an attempt at repairing this cart. I first need a good color-coded wiring diagram. I looked around on this site, but didn't see the one for my cart (probably looking in the wrong place).
It's a 2006 48 volt precedent.

I have never seen a color coded wiring diagram for a precedent. look up 2006 Precedent parts manual {Mobilicab.com) there is a wiring diagram in the electrical section. its on 2 pages so its a little hard to follow but it has all the info you need.

There are a lot of people here who know Alltrax controllers inside and out but they Need to know exactly WHICH controller you have.

If you Don't have Alltrax' Toolkit software, you Need to get it because Toolkit will very quickly narrow down what the controller thinks is wrong.

its a DCX.
DCX has a problem adjusting to the MCOR. The only way you will be happy is to get a XCT. Just my 2¢. I fought that problem for a long time.

thanks WalterM6! I'm needing encouragement like that to help convince me to spend the money on the new controller, instead of junking the cart:-) This thing has been a pain in my side for a few years!

Same thing I said. The DCX is primitive technology.
