Solenoid not getting ground
Hi..love the forum. Great information. Having a couple issues. 99 cc ds electric 48volt. Cart worked fine till yesterday. Driving in neighborhood and it starts to buck and shake. Completely lost power. Nothing when you step on pedal. No clicking at solenoid. Ck solenoid. It’s ok. Had another, installed anyway, still no clicking. Tests ok when I jump the small terminals. Clicks and the large posts show continuity. Large post show 51 volts. Small post have nothing. That is if I measure from small post to small post, pedal depressed. I get 51 volts off each post I’d I put neg to lead to Battery neg. I don’t seem to have any ground on the small terminal for the solenoid. If I add a ground wire, it will move forward and the solenoid clicks. Also did the test for the ms on the FNR switch. With pedal depressed I get 51 volts on the green/white wire. With pedal depressed, in forward, I show 8volts on the black/white wire. I read in a sticky where those values should be 51 also(or whatever the voltage of cart is).. would one cause the other to break? Replace micro switch? Bypass OBC? Thanks. Jim
