Default Need hitch idea for damaged rear crossmember...

My 96 DS had the aluminum center piece torn off the rearmost aluminum frame crossmember. (the part with a hole in it already)
Unfortunately it seems most hitch kits are attached to this part.

My cart currently has a hitch mounted under the rear seat step... but it seems really flimsy and I just dont trust it.

Are any of you aware of a hitch that attaches to the actual frame rails or do I need to just fab something from scratch ?

Here is a link to the one I got. https://www.ecartparts.com/club-car-...uty-rear-hitch

Looks like you would need to fabricate something to replace the part that tore off though. Hope this helps...

I got this type of hitch for my old E-Z-GO. It looks like you could attach this hitch to a piece of angle iron, then attach the angle iron to the cross member on your frame. The E-Z-GO cross member was steel, and maybe a little stronger. It always felt sturdy enough for the trailers and wagons that I was pulling.
