Default weird obc/charging issue after alltrax upgrade

so i did the 48500 upgrade on my 03 48v DS. I've also got the A1 motor. I used the metal piece to go through the OBC and it seems my charger never kicks off anymore. I've tried the 16 hour charge and its still hovering around 5 amps on the charger. I've also tried resetting the OBC minus the tow/run steps since i dont have that switch and i never had the reverse buzzer sound like the instructions say will happen.

basically, the charger doesn't kick off and it doesn't delay before kicking on like it used to. Also after charging the cart won't move for a few minutes after the charger is unplugged. any ideas?

There's a grey wire from the charge receptacle that goes to the OBC. That wire activates the relay in the charger to turn it on. On the back of the OBC it should go to a single spade connector kinda by itself in the middle somewhere. If you cut/changed/connected that wire to Negative or B- it makes the charger turn on immediately.
Make sure the wire is still connected properly to the back of the OBC.
Make sure the Black 10awg wire from the OBC still goes to the B- terminal of the controller.

Here's where it goes into the back of my obc

The #7 black cable also runs directly from b- to the back of the obc

Ok, peel that grey wire loom back, or push it out of the way so you can get about 6" of the grey wire out of the harness and cut it so you have plenty of room to be able to re-splice it back together after this next test.
With the charger cord unplugged, use your multimeter to check for continuity between the Grey wire and Black wire pins in the charge receptacle. If you have continuity, the grey wire and black wire have been pinched and shorted together somewhere between the receptacle and the OBC. The wires will need to be repaired or replaced.
If you have No continuity between Grey and Black, the OBC has failed.

Before I do that test, it appears to be fused behind the charger receptacle. Should I try swapping that out first?

Fuse is fine. The wire provides the negative for the relay coil in the charger. When the relay is ON (the charger Is working), the grey wire is continuous to pack negative. This is normal, and shows the fuse is good.

What you're testing to determine is if the wire is shorted to pack negative somewhere prior to the OBC control circuit which normally provides the negative, which would keep the relay ON regardless if the OBC is telling it to be On or Off.

Or if the OBC has failed and is stuck in the ON state.

haven't tried anything else yet, but another data point in case it matters. ever since installation the reverse buzzer doesn't sound until the pedal is pushed.
