Default DPI Accusense charger failure

Been a while since I have been here. So, hello again everyone!

So I went away for a couple of weeks and when I got back home the bottom red power light and the yellow charging light are blinking in unison. Battery voltage is down to 50.5 volts. So I unplug everything and give it a chance to rest. Hooked it back up and nothing happens except the red led on the bottom just sits there and blinks at me.

I did a search and came up with nothing on this problem although I am sure it has been discussed before.

So if anyone can start me out in the right direction. The circuit board in this charger was replaced under warranty but unit is several years old at this point and no longer under warranty.

Thanks!

And it is a 36 month warranty, too.

Thanks Nolefan! Didn't realize it had a 3 year warranty. I may be over that, I will see if I can figure it out. The code the led's flash out don't match the battery condition it's trying to tell me I have. Guess I will have to call DPI on Monday.

Thanks!

Is this a gen 3 or 4? Gen 4 has a cable disconnect on the face of the charger.

Not sure about the gen. It has the meter, led lights and a single round wire coming out of the front going to the cart receptacle and the small pin port on front to set battery type. On the back is the ac wire going into it.

This charger is probably 3 or 4 years old.

If it has the jumper pins under a cover on the face and the dc cable is not removable from the face it is the old style gen 3. Here is that manual. http://www.dpipower.com/store/MNUL/General_Chargers.pdf

Thanks KGSC! That is the charger I have. Looked at the manual for it and the troubleshooting section was no help. It's trying to tell me I have an out of balance pack per the manual you linked me to. That is not actually the case. I have checked the voltage of each battery and I have a spread of .2 volts. 8.4v on one battery and 8.6v on another battery and everything else at 8.5volts. I didn't get a chance to call DPI today but am gonna try to tomorrow. I am pretty sure the circuit board is cooked. That is the way it acted last time the board went out. Jeez, I like this charger but dang, a new circuit board every couple of years is tough.

I currently have 2 gen 3s and a gen 4. The gen 4 was a warranty replacement when a gen 3 died. I definitely like the 3 better but not made any more. The 4 has had issues 3 times now but they have taken care of it. I think I got the code you are getting when my transformer died but they can tell you.
