87 CC operates as I described. We have done hundreds of these conversions.

I think you guys are talking about two different things, the OP was asking about the "accelerator pedal" no longer being able to release the brake pedal which is correct, the electronic accelerator pedal will no longer be able to release the brake pedal.

Scotty is explaining how to release the brake pedal by using the brake pedal itself.

Thank you both. Here's what I see looking at the parts and how they are interrelated... (Pics attached)
  • Accel Pedal is connected to Accel pedal shaft
  • Paw that the Park Brake Catches is on the Accel Pedal shaft
  • If Accel Pedal/shaft go away, or have no actuation, what does the park brake paw latch on?

Can you not remove the pedal and leave the PAW >? If needed cut the pedal off and leave the shaft with the paw in place.

Thank you, again, for the response. That was my first thought as well. All I can figure out is that if I do, the accel shaft would turn freely. The pedal in the "home" (un-depressed) position acts as rigid stop to hold the accel pedal end of the cam so the hill brake can lock against it. If I remove the pedal, I will need to weld/secure the accel pedal shaft so that it does not turn. My question would be, if I fix that accel shaft does the accel pedal shaft need a little play to allow the main brake pedal to release the hill brake pedal?

Many thanks!
