Default Jakes Disc Brakes with All Sports Lift?

Could anyone tell me if the Jakes Hydraulic Disc Brake Conversion Kit will work with a All Sports 6" A-Arm Lift Kit?

Thanks, Wayne

Yes it will work but you will need to either replace the upper and lower heim joints or make a bushing for the king pin bolts. The jakes brakes come with new spindles and they are threaded for 1/2" king pin bolts whereas the all sports uses 5/8".

It may be different for older carts but this is what I had to do for my 17 Onward.

Thanks for the info man! By any chance you have the part number to the heims you used?

I did not replace the heim joints. I went the bushing route. I found some 1/2"ID-5/8"OD bushings at ACE Hardware. I pressed them into the ball of the heims and filed them down to allow the ball to turn in the socket unimpeded. It was pretty easy to do as the bushings that I bought were bronze.

I have had them like that for two years and use the cart for golf twice per week. To date, I have not had any issues.
