Techincal question
If I wanted to put a gas pedal in a Ezgo with the built in throttle what wires are needed. The PB-6 either has 2 wires are 4 wires.
This foot throttle has 5 wires: Wires: There are 5 wires, 3 of them are potentiometer wires, and another 2 is switch wires. - Brown: Potentiometer Wiper - Black: Potentiometer Low - Red: Potentiometer High - Blue: Switch Input (common) - Yellow & Green: Switch Output (normally open) I understand the Blue & yellow power wires. I would like to know about the potentiometer wires where would they go and which ones I would need for a alltrax controller that is got a EZGO pb-6 hooked to it now. Black and white wires. |

Re: Techincal question
The Blue and Yellow/Green wires are the pedal switch. Should be connected when pedal is pushed.
The potentiometer in a PB-6 has common, high and low connections. Only the low and common are used, so place an Ohmmeter between the common (Brown wire) on the one piece throttle and the Low side (Black wire) to see if it goes from 0Ω with pedal up to 5kΩ with pedal down. If so, connect White wire from controller to Black wire from the throttle and Black wire from controller to Brown wire from throttle. |

Re: Techincal question
This is what I'm looking at sir. I want to swap it out for the old PB-6 throttle that is in it now because it's got a bad spot in it at 4K. This would solve two problems for me in the little red coupe. The wiring is what it says is in it. I knew the switch wires would be to turn it on but didn't under stand the low, high and swipper. This pedal can be mounted in any direction so it will help me out on leg room. Thanks guy's it nice to know you can get help when you need it. |

Re: Techincal question
I 've never used one but I've something similar (could be identical) in the BBB.
But why not simply replace the pot and be done with it for another 25 years? |

Re: Techincal question
Because it is going through some changes this winter and if I can delete the pot box out front and cable and brackets then I have plenty of room to work with for the upgraded steering I plan on. Plus it will get it out of the elements and when I wash it it will be inside the cart. Want get wet.
