Hey husker, I'm just curious as to what I need to remove before I send it off to the powder coated. Also who did your coating? I'm down here in the clear lake are not to far from you I believe. I am pretty sure after blasting the battery tray it will be fine it's mainly battery corrosion built up. I have already removed more stuff like fender plastics and what not just no time to post pictures working so much. I manage the NTB I'm Webster and I am there constantly. But what is my next step. The body is being painted and I need to get the frame off to the coater. I guess I need to get new shocks obviously and figure out what the he'll is goin on with my steering rack. Thanks for responding!

Those could stay but if you want a good seal around the frame after its blasted the farther you take it apart the better it will be. Its your choice at that point.

chances are you will never need to pull the battery tray in the future, but if you pull it now and have it powder coated seperatly, then if you ever do have to pull it for some reason, you won't have to worry about breaking the powder coating seal.

definately pull the heat sink.

Here you go colt, take a look, I did not remove my battery tray due to the fact that it had been redone by previous owner, I did have my neighbor weld the battery tray so that it was correct, then had it done with it in place. As soon as I got it back from him it went straight to the powder coater. PM me for the shops name and I will provide it for you.

Awesome Husker! I am more than likely going to remove my tray and do some more cleaning up that way its less work for the shop to blast and powder coat. But tomorrow I will be removing the battery tray, front axle, rear end, heat sink and what ever else I feel needs to come off. And you will be getting a PM in just a second in regards to the shop.

Battery tray removed:

Driver hub removed and cleaned:

Rack is off and being cleaned inside and out:

Yea my sister in-law plowed into a brick build with the cart one time and twisted it like a pretzel, and this was after I made an attempt to straighten it out. Did not work so well; its being replaced:

Have to stay organized:

Rear end is out:

Pedals on:

Pedals off:

Frame is now ready for the powder coater as soon as I can get the darn heat sink off the frame. It is a PITA

More to come
