Default Increasing steering ratio

Anyone out there been able to increase the steering rack speed from stock? I'd really like to increase effort and decrease the amount of turns of the wheel. I've looked at relocating the tie-rod closer to the spindle but that probably won't work. I could swap the rack rod to the cross rod location, but that would screw up scrub radius and geometry too much. Maybe I could piggy back them some how.

Obviously, reliability is important. :)

TIA
