RATS now you guys are going to make me be nice. I am not hands on about you cart but I looked at a lot of wireing schs today and can not see your problem as battery caused.

Lets go back to the problem with all the information in a new light Y thats as close to peace as I get.

Yeah, i'm a badazz cause I have a skull and piston avatar.

Moving on, 15v&16v is to high. something isn't right with that, it's overcharging. my guess would be the v/r.

haha O.K. thanks
runs way better in reverse than fwd. almost a bog in fwd,
clutches open the same either direction
comp test is 140lbs fwd 145lbs rev.
charges at 15.5 volt in fwd and 16.2 volts in rev.
i excepted it to not read over regular batt voltage in reverese. i didnt think that a d.c. gen would charge while spinning backwards. but ... it ran great in reverse so i wasnt concerned. i charged the battery all day put it on jackstands and it seems better. tommorow i will trail test.
it is a 1986 244 robin , i premix 50:1 , the brakes seem fine, the exhaust may be plugged but that would effect rev as weel so i figure it is o.k.

You may have answered your own question here...... Yes, that could make a difference in the way your cart performs.. you perceive it being faster in reverse, but it's really not...certainly wouldn't hurt to BBQ or clean it out. For cleaning it, look up MMT's thread on how to do it with muratic acid....

THe 2 stroke rears are the same as electric rears. direct drive, engine spins backwards on both.
The muffler may be the problem, unhook or loosen it and test drive.
