Workhorse Generator
Just installed a set of 130 watt KC Daylighters on the roof of my Workhorse. My question is....when I turn them on will my generator and battery handle the load ? I don't plan on using them as headlights just now and then when off road or when showing off.......... P.S. They look Great!

Re: Workhorse Generator
I have gotten voltage test results as high as 16v from a workhorse generator. They do not, however, produce that kind of voltage at low rpms... so you could run into trouble if you were to use them at low speed for extended periods of time... as in trail cruising?

Re: Workhorse Generator
Time will tell! Run them and see if you run out of juice. Only option is a larger capacity battery or smaller lights if you have an issue...

Re: Workhorse Generator
They are 130 watts each, 300,000 candle power....each! Thats why I was worried, I didn't want to turn them on and have the cart stall. Thanks all for the replies,Oh yea, I'll change my advatar tomorrow to include the lights, Big Ed

Re: Workhorse Generator
Shouldn't stall the cart while running, just don't be too far from home until you put it to the test

Re: Workhorse Generator
personally i would add another battery or get a bigger battery to handle the load. You are pretty much maxing out the generator's capacity.
