Default First build with a CBR600 motor, lots of questions!!

So for my first build i was gonna go with a simple big block swap with a long travel suspension setup but yesterday i was given a running cbr600 motor..FOR FREE!!!! my reason for getting in to the golf cart scene was to ultimately build a golf cart with a street bike motor...just didnt think it would be my first build. So i am going to have a TON of questions....

1st question: Is there any type of fab plans or guides out there to go off of or are all street bike motor swaps all "learn what works as you go" type of build?

2nd question: What would be the best cart to use for a bike motor swap?

I have a ton more questions but im just gonna start with the most important ones first and work my way in to it...so can anyone help me out with these two simple questions and sort of point me in the right direction? i would greatly appreciate it!!!

nobody out there can offer ANY advice!?!?! c'mon guys...throw me a bone here...

on a side note. I am going to look at a golf cart that has already been modified to fit a street bike motor. If it looks to be built soundly and correctly and the price is right I will probably buy that cart so that i wont have to do a lot of the modifications myself.

On the note...what should i be looking for when i go to look at this cart chassis? is there anything that would throw up an instant red flag?

Thanks dylan, i have already read your thread thoroughly and plan on going with the chain driven axle for a more simple setup thats for sure.

ok if you would like to purchase that i got it from BMIkarts.com

its the 1 1/4 chromoly hollow axle. i got 4 hanging bearings from there .... heres links so i don't have to write it up.

http://www.bmikarts.com/item/1-14-Be...e-400415--5973

i orderes 2 of those ( which is 4 kits all together because 1 order comes with 2 bearing set ups)

http://www.bmikarts.com/item/1-14-Tu...Axle-6014-3344

thats the axle and you just have to pick the length.
