How did you install your controller/solenoid
If you are like me, you upgraded your controller and solenoid. Well, I'm interested in knowing how/where you installed it. If you have pics, upload them!
For me, the original location of the controller and solenoid (weather proof box) is only large enough for my new 400/1000amp solenoid. I haven't decided where to put the controller (LGS 480amp). I may put it on the opposite side of the cart under the driver seat. But, I was hoping to turn that spot into a tool box. So, how/where did you put yours??? |

Re: How did you install your controller/solenoid
Is your solenoid water resistant? I need to keep mine in a dry place. If I do mine like yours, the OEM plastic cover won't fit.
Also, in your signature you put "switch-posi rear end". What is this? |

Re: How did you install your controller/solenoid
This is how I mounted mine. I did not think about whether or not the solenoid is water resistant. I will have to do some research. Maybe ScottyB can tell us. If not I will have to make a little cover for it some how.

Rabbit,
lots of questions for you.. 1. How many solenoids do you have in there? 2. Is your solenoid mounted upside down? 3. Do you not care about water-proofing either? |

Oletop,
Looks good. Real clean. I like the idea of mounting the solenoid on the side of the body... hmmm.. |

Quote:
2. In the one install I mounted all 3 solenoids sideways, in the other install I mounted 1 solenoid upside down. 3. Nope. Take a good look at Yamaha, Club Car and even early E-Z-GO models..... The solenoids are wide open and exposed. E-Z-GO started mounting the solenoid under the environmental cover because it kept everything clean and "neat" , not because the solenoids were in danger of getting waterlogged. Remember, you aren't supposed to be directing a stream of water directly at ANY of the electrical components anyway...... |
