Yes PLUS a big consideration in golf cart motors is unwanted heat build up, especially in carts with big tires. Heat is a big killer of all things electrical - so heat dissipation through vents is wise engineering.

I agree. I'm a huge fan of vented motors. I think you'll be extremely happy in the long run. Water and motors don't mix whether they're vented or not. None of them are sealed. Water can get into just about anything if you submerge it.

Took the buggy for a drunk hot lap around the yard today after i got it back together. The only way i can describe it is that its like when you step on the throttle it takes off quickly and the power and speed just keeps coming on. Will test more and keep you posted. So far happy with it the real test for me is up a descent incline without loosing to much speed.

Do you know what size motor mount bolts the motor uses? Mine came last week went to fit it in last night and the bolts from the last motor don’t fit. Any suggestions?
