Default 48V vs 72V FLA. What am I missing?

Complete noob here so please play nice. But why is there almost no info about 72V FLA DC carts? I get that AC is all the rage, and the benefits, but what about the Alltrax 72V controller? I'll be converting from a CC DS 36V and the AC conversion seems like too far of a jump since 100% of the cart needs converting. What's the price difference between the 48 vs the 72 Alltrax controllers comparatively? Seems like I can get a COMPLETE conversion from Scotty B, 48V, for about the cost of an AC conversion that basically includes only motor and controller.

72V is a pretty extreme performance platform for a golf cart. I get it, faster is better. But the 'norm' is upgrading to 48V with a 500 or 600 amp controller. If you are going to leap to 72v then why not look at the other performance upgrades, like an AC motor and controller.

There are a few 72V carts with a DC controller/motor on this forum. So they do exist here. The AC mods are good but if it were me I'd convert to lithium with an Alltrax DC controller before converting AC.
