Re: Wiring question 01 regen 2
You may have a bad main solenoid.
The correct place to put the meter probes on the solenoid small post are: Positive on the Blue wireYou should get 0v with pedal up and +48v with pedal down. If You get that voltage and the solenoid does not click, the solenoid is bad. |

Re: Wiring question 01 regen 2
You know You have +48v on the Blue wire.
If You are not getting +48v across the small posts, that means the controller is not providing the negative to activate the solenoid. The 4v you are reading on blue/white wire likely means you are using a good digital voltmeter that has a low impedance input (LoZ) or an old analog meter. What controller exactly did you get from this guy? It may be less of a headache , heavier on the wallet though, to convert to an IQ harness and controller. |

Re: Wiring question 01 regen 2
A good deal on an IQ controller just showed up on parts for sale.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...ml#post1178570 You would still need to buy the harness and MCOR. |

Re: Wiring question 01 regen 2
I cannot answer that question from experience, but if You look at post #7 on this thread, Revolution Golf Cars was putting together a kit for the conversion.
I would call Dave and get details on what he is going to offer and what else You will need. The Regen1&2 were short lived and not well designed from the start, so usually it is not a good investment to try to replace too many parts and still end up with a Regen2 system. If You ever had any plans to lift the cart and put bigger tires, this would be the opportunity to get a higher amp controller. |

Re: Wiring question 01 regen 2
Ok, I understand. I really appreciate all your help with this problem. I have had this cart for over 10 years and it has been lifted with 23" tires for about 7 years. For what little I do with it has been great. Until now...
I should have saved the money I spent on the replacement and purchased a the iq system. Do u think the controller is bad? Thanks again for all your help. I will donate to this site its very resourceful! |
