Default 48v Club Car Charger won’t cut off?

I have a DS and the pack reads 53v. Everything has been fine in the cart except my kid ran the cart down to where it was barely rolling but it charged the pack back to 53 volts but the charger won’t cut off after 10+ hours of charging so i unplugged it. Any ideas what could cause this?

I recall that those can stay on for up to 16 hours?

It can take up to 16 hours to recharge. Especially with is being as weak as it was. Let it finish.

Anytime you get the batteries really low it is a good idea to reset the OBC since there is a possibility the OBC information about the amount of energy removed may not be correct.

To reset the OBC just disconnect the battery pack for more than 10 minutes and connect it back.

After that plug the charger and let it finish the charging cycle.

It will likely run longer for the first couple of cycles after the reset as the OBC does a new baseline analysis of the pack before switching to counting energy units again.
