99 ezgo work horse
Hello all this is my first post on this site! I recently aquired a 99 ezgo work horse minus the engine( still a good buy for 140.00)! I am looking for some advice reguarding what motor to install, should i lift the cart while i am at it ( what are the benfits of lifting)also what would be the best manual / parts book for this cart because it has some linkage on the rear end an the front motor mount i am not sure about. It would have been easier if i had seen this complete and dissassembeled my self but oh well! I will beusing this at a campground to go back and forth to the marina etc. I dont need the fastest cart but a little high performance is fun! I have not yet determined my budget because i am still trying to figure what kind of things i should or should not do! Thanks in advance!

Re: 99 ezgo work horse
Definitely, definitely go with a big block... a 6" lift and some bigger tires. That sounds like a great buy. Can you post some pics of this gem?

Re: 99 ezgo work horse
It might be easier to ask this first. What kind of cash are you wanting to spend on your new toy? $500.00? $5,000.00?

Re: 99 ezgo work horse
I don't think you are going to get it going for that. I'm betting $3,000.00 minimum...

Re: 99 ezgo work horse
Most people can't but some who are handy and resourceful could get it running for that $ ...... When we say big block we are talking about the 16 - 25 hp V-twin horizontal shaft motors... If you can find one used and fab your own engine cradle etc, etc, then you can do it..... otherwise, sell the cart to me and I'll do it
