Cart has a delay
I have a G9 and when the accelerator is pressed from a stop it has about a 3 second delay. Sometimes you have to double pump the gas to get it to go. Other than that it runs fine. Can something be adjusted? Thanks ahead for any input.

Re: Cart has a delay
There is no delay as such, we forget this is not our daily ride that we start and put in gear then step on the go pedal.
check the starter belt is not worn and is tight. A new spark plug and clean air filter will help for a faster startup. It will never spin the tires so say excuse me or stamp on the pedal before you insult anyone. |

Re: Cart has a delay
so nothing is wrong if I get in the cart and stomp the gas to the floor and it doesn't make a noise for three or so seconds. Ive actually looked under the seat while pressing the gas and it looks like when i press the gas it tries to move but its in slow motion for a second or two before the engine actually starts.

Re: Cart has a delay
Sounds to me it might need brushes in the starter or loose connection, such as ground etc.

Re: Cart has a delay
also, check your battery connections. almost sounds like it has to build up juice to get it turning.
does it seem to turn over healthily? or is it kind of bogged down |

Re: Cart has a delay
Probably a worn out carbon brush. Try jumping the starter gen.

Re: Cart has a delay
Might try looking at the sticky above..so your yami wont turn over. If you have a volt meter these simple tests will tell you if it's the battery/battery terminal connections/wireharness/key switch/stop switch/solenoid or the starter-generator. A volt meter is your best freind in this problem. Good luck.
